So now what? Starve our children to make them OBEY? If this CRUEL way of teaching is Christianity at its finest... no thank you!!! And they wonder why religion is seen as such a JOKE'....

That we must hurt or torture another being to maintain control (slavery) , to follow our whims and wishes... Where is the love? It's not respect. It's FEAR.

Pastor this is a misconception of the bible, you took it out of context and made a horrible mistake. We are in dominion over the animals but that does not mean mistreat them. Do unto the least of these comes to mind, If that were Jesus would you starve him for a couple days? The devil tempted him after 40 days of no food. Don't abuse animals or people treat everything as God would. He would not harm animals. He feeds the sparrow get it through your head. Treat things the way you want to be treated.

Pastor David Perry of the New Selmont Baptist Church abuses animals to teach biblical obedience. He takes videotape and posts it online like it's something to be proud of.

This man is everything that's wrong with modern religion in one single package.

    SHAME ON YOU!

Given that the pastor, David Perry, a previously convicted felon, starves a dog who is clearly already terrified of him on the video he proudly records while he starves the dog to make a point to his (apparently idiot) parishioners, I'm thinking I gotta go with a big fat ZERO (to match David Perry). The man needs to be fully investigated. Where there is open abuse of the innocent, children are also targets. Does he supervise children without anyone supervising him? Start looking for signs of abuse among those children. Many animal abusers are also child abusers. There is a LINK. .

Abusing animals is never a good way to teach people about the bible or anything else for that matter. Shameful
